6 Interior Paint Colors You’ll See Everywhere In 2025

While creamy white walls will always be a mainstay, people are getting bolder and more confident with color. Whether it’s a subtler look with a muted shade that skews neutral or a true statement-maker use with bold and vibrant shades, one thing is certain: color is in. Here are six paint color trends we predict will be everywhere in 2025.

Bolder and Braver Blues

No matter what end of the spectrum, some form of blue will always captivate us, but for 2025 it’s going to be bolder than ever before. While we’ll always love the softer shades too, it’s time to embrace the colors’ bolder energy.

From hotels and restaurants to home interiors, vibrant and more saturated blues are popping up everywhere—it’s even Valspar’s 2025 color of the year. This side of blue is energetic, fun, and especially captivating when used with a lacquer finish. Bolder blues are making their mark not only on the walls, but also to create unique moments within a space by splashing a nook or vignette. This extends to the trim and cabinetry as well. Sherwin-Williams’ 2025 Colormix Forecast also includes a cobalt-hue: Frank Blue (SW-6967).

Drama-Evoking Reds

Red is in! And we’re not just talking about the softer reds that skew pink (which are also cropping up more), but really those true, eye-catching ruby reds. Whether used for full room applications or for smaller accents, a pop of red is known to inspire confidence and infuse a glamorous, mysterious, and energetic quality into the room.

The unexpected red theory is not new, nor complex, but has certainly gained more attention recently. It’s the concept that a hint of the captivating color actually ties everything together—it’s like the cherry on top of a well-designed space, or red lipstick that makes your outfit pop!

Whether more saturated or muted, rusty-brownish or terracotta-toned, the often polarizing color can bring vibrancy to even the smallest of spaces. Behr’s 2025 Color of the Year proves why red is regaining popularity in home interiors. Sherwin-Williams also named three reds in their 2025 Colormix Forecast: Borscht (SW-7578), Rookwood Red (SW-2802), and Red Tomato (SW-6607).

Color-Infused Neutrals

Out with white and beige! It’s time to add an undertone of color to even your neutral spaces. From light blues and greens that we’re dubbing the ‘new neutrals’ to soft pinks and peaches that add a soothing touch and even grounding shades like earthy browns—there’s a hint of color to suit every room. Even Benjamin Moore’s 2025 Color of the Year, Cinnamon Slate 2113-40 has velvety brown undertones while bringing in a hint of purple.

Mood-Shifting Greens

Natural-hued greens entered the picture like never before over the past few years, and they’re here to stay. But the earth-tones aren’t the only shade of green that’s on the rise. As homeowners are becoming bolder with paint, color washing with deeper, more saturated shades to create moody spaces with a still natural feel. Meanwhile softer and brighter shades of green and green-blues, like HGTV Home by Sherwin-Williams’ Color of the Year, are making an appearance as well. In both cases, the color brings an essence of the outside in while creating an equally inviting and invigorating interior backdrop.

Muted Pinks

We’re not talking the bubble gum pinks of children’s bedrooms and soft baby hues of nurseries, but more mature and muted shades. Farrow & Ball’s Setting Plaster (No. 231) has long been a designer favorite and we foresee it cropping up even more in 2025. When used as a neutral shade or paired with brown tones, subtle pinks can read like a really warm cream or more color-infused version of tan—like Nutmeg Frost S210-1 included in Behr’s 2025 Color Tends.

Warm Yellows

Golden accents have been gracing interiors for as long as anyone can remember, primarily in textile and tile form, but now the citrus color is becoming a more prominent paint choice. In 2025, you’ll see this cheerful hue in paint form bringing light and warmth to homes. Its softer tones serve as a backdrop to a myriad of accent colors and furnishing styles, while more saturated yellows can be played up to make more of a statement—especially with finish treatment (eggshell vs. gloss etc.). Sherwin-Williams’ 2025 Color Capsule of the Year includes both rich golden yellow, Bosc Pear (SW-6390), and more vibrant yet cozy yellow-green: Chartreuse (SW-0073).
