We love the idea of dressing up your dinner table with cloth napkins over the absorbent paper ones. According to Jessica Davis, founder of Atelelier Davis, cloth napkins are the perfect item to snag on sale to add an upscale touch to your home in a practical way.
“I exclusively use cotton napkins for everyday as it’s just the right thing to do, environmentally speaking,” Davis says. “They can add a fun touch of color or pattern to your table. Since I use these daily, I like to have lots of different sets on hand, and always snatch them up when they go on sale.”

Artwork
One of the easiest ways to spruce up your home for a good price is with artwork finds. Artwork is a great way to make your space more personal in design by choosing a piece that resonates with your style and personality.
“Finding just the right piece of art for a space is a mission in itself, so when I see something on sale that fits my style and can be used potentially in multiple spaces, I pick it up,” says Jessica Holwick, co-owner and principal designer at Restart Renovation and Design. “It is often these pieces I pick up on sale without necessarily needing them at the time that prove to be most valuable to me in projects later on.”
Table Vases

After growing beautiful hydrangeas, peonies, or other stunning flowers in your outdoor garden, why not cut a few stems to show off in a beautiful new table vase you scored for less?
“You can never have enough vases,” Davis says. “I love finding things that feel hand-thrown with interesting glazes, so when something I’m eyeing goes on sale, I’m sure to snatch it up.”
Throws or Towels

I’m someone who will wrap up in a blanket no matter what the temperature is. So like Davis, I’m also willing to pick up the perfect blanket whenever I see an irresistible one go on sale.
“I love cotton throws for those in-between temperatures,” Davis shares. “I always have a basket in our living room and family room for lounging. So when I see one of my favorites go on sale, I definitely stock up,” she says.
Along with throw blankets, Holwick says she tries to snag some towels on sale whenever she sees quality linens listed at a no-brainer markdown price.
“Towels are something that is always needed and can also dress up your bath or kitchen,” Holwick says. “I like to hang more decorative towels from hooks in the bathroom as a design statement and love a kitchen towel with a delicate pattern, which adds interest to the space.”
Home Accents
Home decor and accents are a must for curating a home that’s reflective of your style and to set the mood you want to achieve.
It’s also something that (if you’re like us) homeowners are regularly shopping for, so it makes sense that designers are always keeping their eyes open for the next great accent find at an unbeatable price.
Holwick frequents vintage and antique shops for unique finds—especially since you can score some great deals in the process.
“My favorite decor items that I use over and over again are bowls of all types, like clay, stoneware, and wicker; vases; trays; and planters,” Holwick shares. “Anything different that makes a statement or adds some unexpected charm is a winner.”
