For Dusty, owner of Craftsman Plumbing, plumbing has never been just about pipes and water pressure. It’s about people, and surprisingly, about food.

“I think plumbing and cooking have a lot in common,” Dusty said with a grin. “Both take patience, precision, and respect for the process. And if you do it right, people remember how it made them feel.”

When Dusty isn’t troubleshooting a stubborn leak or installing a new water heater, you’ll probably find him behind a stove. His YouTube channel, Plumber Eats, is a mix of showcasing local restaurants, kitchen banter, and the same down-to-earth charm that defines his work in homes across Seattle.

On a recent visit to Beast and Cleaver, an acclaimed Ballard butcher shop that serves a sandwich at 11:00 am sharp on Thursdays and Fridays until gone. Dusty had chance to learn about the dry aging process with Zach.

“I’ve always loved food because it brings people together,” Dusty said. “Plumbing does that too – just in a different way. When someone’s kitchen sink or water heater breaks, you’re helping restore a piece of normal life. It’s personal.”

That blend of craftsmanship and care has become Craftsman Plumbing’s hallmark.
