3 men wanted in more than 30 burglaries targeting plumbing, electrical businesses: CPD

CHICAGO — Chicago police are searching for three men who are wanted for targeting businesses in more than 30 burglaries since January.

CPD issued a community alert Tuesday to plumbing and electrical businesses in the 11th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 18th, 19th and 25th districts on the city’s north, northwest and west sides.

Police have connected the robberies that began in January and have continued through this past weekend.

According to the alert, in all the incidents, the three men have forcibly entered businesses and work vehicles by breaking doors and windows to gain entry. Once inside, the men steal property, including tools and equipment. This also includes work vehicles parked at location of business and on residential streets.

New surveillance video captures the three men burglarizing a business in the 4300 block of North Kilpatrick, which they have now targeted five times since March. In the video, a stolen grand Cherokee pulls up around 5 a.m. Sunday, and steal whatever they can.

Employees point out to WGN News that in surveillance video from the past and most recent burglary, one of the three men is wearing the same black Adidas track pants.

Police said the men were seen driving a 2024 Black Volkswagen Atlas with an Illinois plate: ED21641
