Beseda Flooring & More: Committed to quality, community and customer satisfaction | Business

For 40 years, Jill and Brian Beseda have led a team of experts who know how to transform ordinary rooms into beautiful places. It starts at the ground level with flooring that not only meets the needs of the space but also the people who live in it.

A St. Charles company since 1985, Beseda Flooring & More has been in its current location, just 1 mile off of I-64/Hwy. 40 at the Hwy. 94 exit, since 2001. It’s a hometown success story that has grown eight times not without more than a little local support.

“We’ve grown by being part of the community,” Brian explained. “We support them and they truly support us. We’ve been very fortunate.”

Beseda is known as a local company you can count on for honest, reliable bids and service to support local nonprofits such as Marcy’s Project, Folds of Honor, BackStoppers Inc. and the Sunshine Kids.

“It’s an honor to be able to give back to the community,” Brian said.

He added that it’s also an honor to be invited into someone’s home and to be trusted to help them with its improvement.

“We do all types of flooring – hardwoods, ceramic tile, laminates, carpets, vinyl – as well as bathroom showers and vanity tops, using Onyx products,” Brian said. “We don’t carry vanities but we can install ones that the customer purchases.” As for faucets and toilets, Beseda subcontracts with plumbers to give its customers total bathroom remodels.

“All of our sales people measure their own jobs,” Brian said. “That’s important because it gives you that personal connection.

“Our salespeople are very knowledgeable about everything we sell. We study this stuff all day long, so that our customers don’t have to. Then, because our salespeople meet with you in person, they get to know your home, get to know your décor. We’ve been in the industry forever and we’re not commissioned, so we truly want to sell you what we believe will be the right product for your home.”

Carpeting is experiencing a renaissance, Brian said. Why not? It’s tried and true in terms of comfort and affordability. It’s easy to replace if you want to update a space down the road and “it’s warm and comfortable underfoot.”

New and improved laminate flooring is another exceptional option. Hardwoods are timeless but may not be the right fit for all homes.

There’s a lot to consider, which is why so many area residents trust the experts at Beseda Flooring & More for guidance before and after choosing their perfect floor.

After all, the pros at Beseda know things the average consumer likely will not, such as what type of floor will wear best for the room’s traffic patterns and use; how to care for your flooring to ensure that it lasts and remains under warranty; what colors and designs work best in cozy and extra large spaces – the list is long.

“We really are what our motto says we are: ‘Your one stop floor shop,’” Brian said. “Plus, we have samples available in store for customers to take home.”

One of the things that makes him especially proud is that the company has partnered with generations of families. “I’ve got customers that span from grandmas and grandpas to grandkids, who are new homeowners now,” Brian said. “It’s wonderful!”

According to Brian, keeping those clients happy begins with three simple pieces of advice:

• Talk to a professional.

• Talk to a smaller store that cares about your project and where you can get hold of the owner instantly.

• Let the professionals help you make decisions about the area you want to cover.

“We’ve got great 4.7-star reviews with Google and Facebook,” Brian said.

“I personally stand behind the quality of my company’s work, our high-quality products, skilled installers and craftsmen, and knowledgeable sales people. I believe in what I do.”
