Would you like an Irish Green office to match your 1964 Porsche 911? Or a Speed Yellow nursery? Now you can, thanks to the automaker’s latest collaboration
There are a number of famous Porsche paint colors on the road today, and some people really love those hues. That’s why the automaker has partnered with Backdrop, a paint company that specializes in interior house paint, to create a special collection of colors.
“Individualization is at the core of Porsche. Whether it’s a custom-built Taycan or your home office, we want to inspire all to dream in full color,” said Ayesha Coker, VP of marketing for Porsche Cars North America. “Together with Backdrop, we’ve curated a series of bright, saturated colors that have significance to us and are sure to bring the beloved Porsche aesthetic to your home interior design.”
The partnership has been initiated as part of Porsche’s 75th anniversary celebrations, and the collection contains four colors that have become legendary in the automotive world thanks to their use on the automaker’s vehicles.

The first color is Irish Green. First seen in 1964, the color was applied to a 356C and was also among the initial options offered on the 911. A timeless shade of dark green, the color has graced many a model since then, including the 1,000,000th Porsche 911 ever to roll off the factory line.
Next is a bright shade of Speed Yellow, that first appeared on a 911 in 1991. The exuberant color is distinctly tied to the brand now, and is a brave choice for your home, but if you can afford a Porsche, your decorator can probably make it work.

Ruby Star also dates back to 1991, and was also applied to the 911, in addition to the 928 and the 944 models over the course of its service life. The deep shade of magenta is another bold choice, which is a theme in this collection.
Finally, Backdrop will allow buyers to apply Riviera Blue to their home’s walls. The color was first developed in 1994, and over the years has been applied to the 911, the 928, and the 968 models.
“Naturally, we jumped at the chance to work with an iconic brand like Porsche, which has always been synonymous with its bold, statement-making color palette,” said Natalie Ebel, Co-Founder of Backdrop. “It has been an absolute dream come true to collaborate with Porsche, especially during its 75th anniversary year, and to be inspired by its rich history.”
The colors won’t come cheap, with each ringing in at $75 per gallon. However, with every order, buyers will receive a limited-edition 75th-anniversary commemorative keychain.
